The qualified candidate is responsible for analyzing and evaluating functional and technical requirements to determine the scope of the functionality to be covered by testing. The candidate will work on applications while responsible for designing and executing tests, reporting and tracking defects, responding to inquiries, supporting UAT and other tasks pertaining to the QA team. The candidate will also analyze test results, leverage troubleshooting skills to assist with defining root cause, and perform re-testing after defects are addressed.

Position: Senior QA Engineer – Mobile Platforms

Duration: Long Term

Work Profile: Full Time, Office Based Profile

Location: Trichy, Chennai

Required Experience: Relevant Industry Experience of 3+ Years

Key Responsibilities Include

1. Spearhead designing plans, scenarios, and scripts to test our mobile applications and services
2. Define and test the new features and infrastructure of our Mobile Applications
3. Contribute to and maintain our growing automation suite
4. Prepare test case reviews and collaborate with team to improve collective knowledge & best practices
5. Build and own the QA processes and infrastructure for our Android/iOS SDKs and adapters
6. Evaluate and integrate various CI/CD solutions into existing build pipelines
7. Perform smoke, regression, and e2e tests for new features
8. Write unit tests using XC Test for iOS, and various frameworks for Android
9. Stress-test across the full hardware spectrum

Required Skills

• Experience working with customers and applying a deep understanding of their needs to produce timely solutions to their real-world problems
• Ability to participate in technical discussion and providing feedback from a QA point of view.
• Experience in developing test plans, assessing risk, filing appropriate bugs, and consolidating bug reports
• Experience testing and debugging mobile devices both in Android and iOS
• Ability to perform manual testing while identifying opportunities for automation
• Ability to develop reliable test automation in Python with high-code quality, and conduct peer code reviews (e.g., unit-tests, regression tests, functional tests, stress tests).
• Experience with Cypress, Appium and Backend Api automation testing is a plus
